Our Board

 

Individuals who serve on our board have a unique opportunity to make a direct impact in the community while developing their leadership skills and expanding their network of peers, professionals, community leaders, and community thought leaders.

Family Works is fortunate to be represented by a diverse group of individuals who provide strategic and fiduciary oversight of the agency. Professional backgrounds of current members include, finance, marketing, and Family Works’ Board members:

  • Believe in, have passionate for, and care deeply about the agency’s purpose, mission, and goals.

  • Make a serious commitment to participate actively in the work of the Board and their committees.

  • Want to use their strategic planning, strong problem solving and negotiating skills to support the agency’s vision and mission.

  • Demonstrate their strong interpersonal skills and teamwork by joining our fundraising and resource acquisition efforts.

  • Demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of responsibility for their recommendations and decisions and are ready to take on tough issues and work through challenging situations while remaining respectful and collaborative.

  • Have strong ties to their community and actively recruit new Board members.

  • Cameron Kirby

    Cameron Kirby, President

    Cameron is the Director of Strategic Projects at Clear Channel Outdoor. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics. Cameron has seen first hand how much of a positive impact counseling can have on families and youth in need and wants to be sure counseling services are accessible to all, regardless of means. He is particularly drawn to Family Works' compassionate approach to providing mental health services to our community.

  • Gary Grellman, Treasurer

    Gary Grellman, Treasurer

    Gary has over 40 years of senior leadership experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. During his 30 years with Levi Strauss & Co., executive roles included Corporate Principal Accounting Officer, Vice President Global Planning and Performance, and Chief Financial Officer International Operations. He also served for seven years as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. He was also interim-CEO for one year. Gary is passionate about social justice and responsibility and brings to the Family Works Board a strong belief that people with cognitive disabilities should have every opportunity to achieve their highest potential and live fulfilling lives.

  • Lawrence Taymor, Secretary

    Lawrence started his career in broadcast television, winning awards for producing ABC and Disney Channel programming. He founded Interactive Network Television and designed and produced over 3,500 episodes of games for network television programming from Sony, NBC, and CBS. He has held senior production positions at Sony, Warner Bros, and AOL.

    Most recently Lawrence founded YRfacts to provides consumers a single click way to access all their privacy rights, for all the businesses that might be selling their information.

    Lawrence does volunteer work for AHO, providing social and economic services to homeless youth, and The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, providing low income women with access to integrative cancer care.

    Lawrence is a graduate of Princeton University.

  • Fabio Guerrero Zamora

    Fabio Guerrero Zamora

    Born and raised in Spain, Fabio works as Project Manager at Amgen.He specializes in process optimization and continuous improvement.

    Heis a Mechanical Engineer and MBA graduate.

    Fabio always foundvolunteering a great way to integrate into every community he’s beenpart of. At Family Works, he perceives the long-term value of focusingon those in need of a little support to make a significant advancementin their lives.

  • Barbara Kob

    Barbara was the Director of Mediation Services for the County of Marin for 18 years and a founding member of the Marin Justice Center, an advocacy organization for social justice issues in Marin. Barbara’s networking assisted in creating a center addressing needs from legal issues to homelessness and other critical social justice issues.

    Prior to that she was a cognitive behavioral therapist and organizational development consultant. Barbara has devoted her life and career to relational improvement for both individuals and organizations. Barbara utilized her skills as a representative for county workers, including mental health practitioners to improve advocacy for their clients. Barbara’s personal experience with a family members developmental disability has shaped her life. She has spent much of her volunteer time at an equine therapy center that focuses on developmental disability clients in helping to improve their quality of life.

    Barbara is a certified trainer for the State Bar in Negotiation and Mediation and a Restorative Justice and Conflict Resolution trainer. She has developed and implanted programs for governmental and mental health organizations and facilitated both large and small inter group conflicts. Barbara believes that everyone deserves the right to live their lives to the fullest potential.

  • Lisa Pogue

    Lisa is an accomplished people leader with over 15 years experience in Bay Area technology start ups focusing on building and retaining the best talent. She is currently the Director of People Operations at FORMA Brands, an incubator, accelerator, and curator of today’s beauty brands. Prior to joining FORMA Brands in 2023 she was Director of People Operations roles at AppsFlyer. She holds a BA in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
